I found this on a psychology site..
" The Age of Motherhood
The average age at which American women are having their first child has climbed to an all-time high of 25.1. The rise reflects a drop in teen births and an increase in women putting off motherhood until their 30s and 40s."
We talk about this stuff sometimes in developmental psychology classes and I think that it's interesting that a lot of women are putting it off.. And I wonder if it'll have an effect on the population in the United States. If women are waiting until they're older, it's obvious that more women are probably going to have more complications having children than they would have if they had given birth in their 20's.
