dear sandi, please help.

Dear Sandi,

I went to pay for my tuition the Friday, but the cashier's desk was having technical problems. So I came back Tuesday, the last day. I got the run-around for a few hours, as usual, sent from the cashiers to financial aid, to the controller and finally back to financial aid.

It seems that my Bright Futures only applies to 6 credits or more. Senior Seminar is my only 4 credits, and all I need to graduate. It's active, but doesn't count for anything currently. Financial Aid said they make exceptions if it's your last semester... but they need a letter from my department stating that.

Even if I could have found you or Angel, Tuesday at 4:00, after waiting in lines all day, I wouldn't have had time to make it to your office, back to Financial Aid, through the Controller's line, and back to Cashier by 5:00. So to be safe, I went ahead and paid for the full amount. Now I need to try to get a refund for the Bright Futures amount before the time comes when they evaluate that sort of thing.

So, if possible, would you (or Angel) be able to write said letter, on official letterhead?

Thanks,
[me],

instead of paying $120, i got fucked out of $529.32. that's on top of the $160 in textbooks, because, well, broderick is an honors college professor at heart and we have 7 textbooks. on the other hand, at least it's a good class. they're like the odd couple -- it's a hoot. glad i'm taking it with walter and amy.

money, conversations, dear john, school
