Well, time for the random, quickly keyed in update from moi.
Love my new job still. If any of you remember my rant from last year where I said I'd rather be scooping fecal material than working at Kinko's.. well. Yes.. I seem to enjoy the job now;> Although that is only one facet of what it is I do now, I just thought it amusing that that comment from me came true in a fashion.
Listening to something a fellow musher spun, really keen techno dance stuff. Makes me wanna dance.. And its been a while since I last went out to do that.
The scanner is up in arms and I'm just not in the mood to wrestle with it, despite having things I want to get digital so I can toy with them.. Blargh. Just when I think the technology is up to date, it goes and goofs up on me.
Been eating less meat and more veggies these days. Just not really all that hungry unless you present me with a plate full of mixed greens and tomatoes, onions, peppers and the like. Perhaps a sprinkling of goat cheese and a nice sweet-hot vinegrette. With all the stairs I go up and down constantly at work, my legs are turning rock solid.. Wish my rear would do the same.;>
As for The convention Formerly known as Botcon, henceforth known as TCFKAB..
99% chance of a noshow from me and my partner in crime. Not because of the name change, but because our priorities focus more on enjoying what vacation time we can get together and we actually have another trip in mind altogether. Seeing as it is hard for us to get time off, and the money to do much we want to enjoy our time and not have to worry about 16+ hour drive to Chicago, who's traffic would make it seem like we were home.. And deal with people. Like all of you, but the week after a Botcon just sucks trying to catch up on sleep, eating and general functional maintenance. So... if any of you see the blue rodeo pass through your city with the ga plates, know that we are on a wquest to seek Canada out and visit people up there for a few days.. Even longer road trip, yes yes I know.. But I think thats far more enjoyable for the both of us..
All the critters at home are doing well. Cat is still fat, dog still tries to eat anything that comes into the yard, Ferret is stinky and it is time again to feed the snake. Warm weather and all.
Wedding plans are still a go for October. And while that makes it sound like we're launching the shuttle, well, its our life and it is a launch of sorts.
I think I'll draw this random rant to a close with these final words to all the readers out there that I know:
To be at peace with yourself is the first step to learning to enjoy life.
