5 Day weekend ahoy

Apr 26, 2010 07:38

But let's start with the weeend just gone.

I had a really great time on Saturday, I got up early and went to Sainsburys to pick up the mackerel and wine that Lar wanted and decided to pick up another three or four things to make the day that bit better {stuff like cakes and luxury yoghurts}. Then I got the bus all the way to Poole and to Lucy's house from there. It didn't take as long as I thought it would actually, but I guess the huge line for the 40 into Swanage probably indicates as to why ^^;.

Yeah the weather was really, really good for most of the day. Lucy and I sat and watched DVDs and played our video games ^^;. Well, to be fair we were waiting on a phone call from Nick to let us know when he was finished his CBT test and when he'd be home so we could get the BBQ on the go. We didn't lay about all morning though. We had to go over to the shop twice to pick up things Lucy had forgotten she needed or couldn't get the day before. It was nice to walk outside without actually needing a jacket, though for weather like that I really need to have my hat on.

Well, Nick finally calls at around 2 O'clock and can't make it home right away because of stuff I won't get into here. Needless to say Lar got sort of... annoyed. Oh well, at least Nick finally made it back ok with his shiny new moped. We convinced Lucy's mum and dad to come to the BBQ that evening because otherwise there would just be three of us {well four if you count Marmite ^^;} eating all the food Lucy and I had made that afternoon.

The weather was a bit on the chilly side when we ate, but it was still a really nice night anyway. Once we'd all had enough we went inside to tidy up then sat down with a glass of wine and some luxury chocolate cheesecake. That was really yummy, I have to ask you again mate where you got that.

Once Lucy's parents had headed home and me and Lucy had sat about for around five minutes we went out for a walk around the copse/woods/whatever you want to call it. The bluebells should be up next weekend, judging by the leaves that are all over the place. Pity I never got to see all the daffodils though. Did I mention that the cat decided to come with us? Well h did and finally collapsed when we got back out of the woods on the way back. You can tell he's getting to be an old boy now, but he still needs his exercise *nods*.

Anyways, yesterday was a lazy day. Had to go up to Sainsburys again to grab my shopping, but I spent most of my day sitting around on the internet and playing Pokemon ^^;. Chatted to my mum as well though, which is always a good thing. I just now need to work out what I'm going to do this Ban Holiday weeend since I booked the Thursday and Friday off as well >>.
