I know that the show has deviated wildly from the source material, but in the books Bonnie was psychic, so maybe they are bringing that little bit of her origins forward for the show as well. I think that the world might need for there to be two sirens. Sirens have to be psychic. One's dead and there might be a void that needs filling. Remember, Bonnie was not affected by the Siren call in the beginning. It was one of the things that led us to believe that women were immune to it. Maybe she's immune because it is in her to be a siren. It wouldn't be the first time she's been changed into a different thing. She was the gateway for dead spirits to pass through to the other side, so I think something in her might be open to being altered for mystical purposes. If she is a siren not created by Cade, her singing might then work against him and being what ultimately defeats him.

It also will work against Stephen and Damon. If she has the powers of a siren, she can force them to turn their humanity switches back on. Having her be a siren would also be a way to get her back in the game with powers without restoring her witch powers, which I understood to be shut off forever because of the drug she was taking in the mental hospital.

I do think the twins could siphon the magic out of Elena's curse, though it seems a little easy. I almost want to see Bonnie make the ultimate sacrifice, laying down her life to save everyone else and especially for Enzo. Or she and Enzo doing it together, because really, he does not need to live through losing her after everything else in his life. Bonnie going out the protector of everyone and taking Cade out with her is what I would expect from Bonnie as a person. Her heart is to protect everyone even if it means her own well-being is destroyed. And Enzo's heart is to now never leave her side. Of course if they managed to survive it, they may then be given some kind of ultimate reward from a higher power. Enzo's reward would be to be human with Bonnie and Bonnie's would be to revive Elena. At least that's what I'd do if I were writing it.

I think it would be a little bit of a cheap way out if all we get is Bonnie living out her life and dying of old age and then Damon and Elena reuniting. Bonnie deserves a blaze of glory, a bang and not a whimper.

They may be, Bonnie did mention specifically about Grams saying that witchery is rooted in psychic ability.

I think that the world might need for there to be two sirens. Sirens have to be psychic. One's dead and there might be a void that needs filling.

None of the Sirens are dead. Sybil may have briefly died, but that was after we saw Bonnie react to the tuning fork. And she made a deal with Cade that she'll come back, live her long, beautiful life. That was her deal. Seline is still alive also.

Remember, Bonnie was not affected by the Siren call in the beginning.

I don't know that Bonnie has heard it before now doing its thing. Maybe I'm forgetting.

This might happen, but yeah, there are two Sirens still so I don't know that it will be that route if she becomes one.

That's another good point, but we've already seen that Damon just needs a little Elena to flip his switch. And Stefan, well, I think the combined force of Damon and Caroline would do it for him.

I do think the twins could siphon the magic out of Elena's curse, though it seems a little easy.

I don't think it would be easy, because there's the chance that by trying it, it will kill either one of Elena, Bonnie or the twins.

I almost want to see Bonnie make the ultimate sacrifice, laying down her life to save everyone else and especially for Enzo.

I think if Bonnie dies, it's going to be to become a vampire. Since she can't be a witch anymore, then she would become a vampire to be with Enzo forever. I certainly don't want to see Bonnie just die. I think that would be a horrible pay-off for Bonnie fans, just dreadful.

I think it would be a little bit of a cheap way out if all we get is Bonnie living out her life and dying of old age and then Damon and Elena reuniting. Bonnie deserves a blaze of glory, a bang and not a whimper.

Well, I don't think it's going to happen that way... I'm sure Elena will be back pretty soon. Way, way, waaaay too much Elena in this episode for them not to be gearing up for her return.
