Wow ... this was a great chapter :). I just hope Jeremy was still wearing his ring during that fight, but I have to admit, all of that stuff needed to be said. Here's to hoping that this is a wake-up call for Elena that she needs help dealing with this and that she can't just keep pushing people away. I bet this is going to be kind of like the catharsis/self-discovery exhibited in "We All Go a Little Mad Sometimes" right? For both Elena and Caroline actually as they both (hopefully) came to a realization in this chapter. I am excited to see where you are taking this story and will continue to eagerly await each upcoming chapter :).

Not a problem :), I hope you feel better soon. It seems this bug (or variations on it) is going around the country right now as a lot of people I know are or have been sick recently too (including myself).

I had actually forgotten that Jeremy was killed in that episode too until you wrote that lol. I try to keep the two stories as separate in my head as possible so I can enjoy them both for what they are. Your story is better (in my opinion) right now for the character interactions, though I really like the Shane/"Cure"/Silas/etc storyline of the show a lot.

{hugs} I love talking to you so commenting shouldn't be such a chore for me. :) I loved this chapter because I feel like it's pivotal for Elena's character development. Kinda like 4x06 was in the show. She needed to lose it thoroughly before she could see that she is unhealthy, and not because she is a vampire, and Jeremy needed to be harsh and unfair for her to see it, kinda like Connor and Katherine(herself in reality) on the show were. I like were you are going with Caroline too. She needed to acknowledge that feelings aren't logical and even deserved. Great chapter as always!!

EVIL!! What a wonderful cliff hanger. I can't wait for the next chapter! I love how real the words were Jeremy said. I hope, after she gets over the grief, that she takes it to heart. She does need to wake up a bit and be there for other people. I hope the magical ring of resurrection was in its proper place!!

What a pivotal scene! Very 4x06-esque--having reality smack Elena in the face like that. Very cathartic for all involved. Can't wait to see how she deals with what she's just done.

Caroline and Klaus were just so cute--Caroline being all uppity and Klaus shrugging it off and looking at her like she's the greatest thing to ever walk the earth. LOVED IT.
