Okay, I'm being crass, please forgive me.

I adored this chapter. Drunk!secret!revealing!Damon was adorable! The whole scene with him and Meredith was made of win and had so much great stuff. And I loved that Elena's guilt trip somehow gave him hope. Just, the best.

I've seen some of the other comments, and I'll just add my two cents here, I think Elena is completely in character and completely sympathetic. I really feel for her, but I'm certain that once she accepts what she wants, things will be better for her. It's just so overwhelming, poor thing. Keep going!

Adorable chapter.

I enjoyed Damon attitude and that twist of Klaus at the very end. I miss some Klaus :)

"And she wouldn't be desperate unless she desperately, *desperately* wanted me and couldn't control her feelings with me around." He let out a triumphant bark of laughter. "Ironic, isn't it? Her big move to push me away has given me hope that I'd just about lost completely."

Caroline's eyes widened, her mouth dropping open in surprise. "You're like cutting him out? For real? I mean, I have issues with the guy, but I thought, I mean, I *know* you and him... you're close." She stood up and smiled in understanding. "Look, I'm not blind. I know that Damon was majorly there for you after Stefan left. In a way no one else was. In a way you didn't let anyone else be."

This *sounds* like Caroline! And the line about 'In a way you didn't let anyone else be' is very insightful, good job!

I really hope we get some aspect of these two like this on the show.

I can sit and go through everything you've said and all I will be doing is saying OH MY GOD! THANK YOU! LOL! Honestly, I love reading your reviews, I love everything you see, everything you bring out, heck you point out things that I didn't even realize I did and was doing, and with every insight you bring forth, you make me want to do more, write more, write better. I honestly can not thank you enough.

That was one awesome chapter. In this fic the characters are and speak. There are no second-hand descriptions or emotions. Everything is happening directly. I don't even know how to explain it properly but the main thing is that I LOVE your writing style! ♥

This, THIS so much! I love how you mention it here. It felt so much like this, yes. That's what made 3x10 feel so special (among other things of course lol). It did feel like they were a family and the loss of that sense of a real emotional unit was so severe.

I know! It bummed me so much we didn't even get more of that.

You know, I was VERY skeptical about the rumored Damon/ ( ... )

I LOVE it. I love how despite/after having his heart shattered he's putting it back together and I love that he's putting it back together not because something new happened, but simply because of re-examining what already happened, because of his thoughts, because of how well he knows Elena.

Well, there was the new thing that happened -- Elena took such a drastic step in using the 'if you love me' card. That's what got him really putting this all together, but yes, it was taking in all that has happened that made the journey make sense.

You make me like Rebekah all over again. This is such a wonderful scene and I love how you write Stefan and Rebekah here. There is a sense of distance but also closeness. Simultaneously. It's perfect.
