So, there was definite foreshadowing to how gutting that scene between Elena and Damon was, and I agree with you in that I feel very sorry for Elena. I think she is terribly messed up and feels pressured to stop hurting everyone and give an answer about whom she chooses/chose(?). After all the doppelganger stuff, that's a ton of pressure and then you add turning... well, girl has issues - understandably. I hope Elena takes this time to seriously reflect and not blindly through herself into a relationship just to feel what she once did with Stefan. I stand by what I've always thought about how Season 3 ended with Elena's choice... it's not going to turn out well for either Stefan or Elena if they don't face the issues between them. Usually, there really is no going back, and in their case to move forward, they need to actually hash everything out and be honest. And that, I believe, is what will ultimately pull them apart... whether Damon is still there for her or not, kinda depends on how long and drawn out everything becomes.
But I digress... your chapter is amazing and I loved all the talk/dialogue with Caroline and Matt/ Bonnie and Elena. I hope in the TV show, Matt is just as upset with Stefan as Damon is for letting Elena die because really - as you had Bonnie point out - if you really love someone, you don't save the semi-friend/classmate and leave them to die. So... I'm really looking forward to where you're take this, and also very curious as to how Damon's going to take Elena's request. So much to look forward to!!!

It really is the darkest D/E chapter, I promise. But I'm glad that you're still, erm, enjoying it.

Good, I mean, i don't see how anyone doesn't feel sorry for Elena! Poor thing!

I agree. I don't know how they're going to do it on the show, but while I'm still having her deal with denial, I'm also working her through it.

I really hope Matt is too (on the show)! Anyhoo, thank you so much for commenting, and I think you'll be surprised by Damon's reaction. I was. It wasn't planned how I wrote it, went completely a different direction, but I kinda love it. So we'll see. :D
