RIP: Whitney Houston

Oh my God. I just, I grew up listening to and loving her music, and ... just wow. So young, so very young (only 48), and just, wow, may she rest in peace :(

Not her biggest or most well-known song, but this is my favorite of hers:

As did I. It is so sad that she had such a short life.
I loved that song, as well but my favorite of hers was I Will Always Love You .
It's just so powerful and haunting.

I heard Dolly Parton's original first and I've always loved the quiet beauty of that one, so that one (though probably her biggest hit) just never rocked it for me like it did others. I do still love it, but I just don't LURVE it, you know?

It is so sad that she had such a short life.

Yeah, I'm still shocked about it honestly.

I've never heard the original by Dolly, so will forever associate it with Whitney.

I'm stunned but sadly this way of going does not seem very uncommon amongst superstars.

This is one of my favorite songs of hers, too. This was one of the first music videos I've seen when I came to the U.S. and it stayed with me.

Sigh. So young, it's true. And yes, she wasn't well for years, but there was always hope. This is just ... terrible.

Aww, I imagine the fast pace and lyrics probably helped in terms of getting down English-speaking rhythms too.

she wasn't well for years, but there was always hope

Sigh, yeah. :(

When the pop up came on my phone saying she had died, I literally gasped.

I can't pick a favorite Whitney song. I love the one you posted, Saving All My Love For You, One Moment In Time, I'm Every Woman. She had so many amazing songs, it's hard to pick a favorite.

I love, love LOVE Waiting To Exhale.

This is just so tragic and sad.

I refreshed ONTD and said aloud OH MY GOD! I just couldn't believe it. Very tragic, yes.

So many great songs, I could add a whole list to the ones you mentioned. (And I was actually JUST listening to a bunch of stuff by her about a week ago.)
