Again, I meant to post this yesterday, but totally forgot! Anyhoo, continuing on with my list of my 20 favorite Vampire Diaries episodes in order of fondness. Each one is highlighted with the first five things I thought of that I loved about each episode in my top 20, made into a graphic to go with it.

Really enjoying these. You can tell S3 has been awesome so far - only 9 episodes aired, and quite a few of them have already ended up in your Top 20!

I have really enjoyed season 03, but I do wonder if part of my love is because we are getting WAY more Damon/Elena than season 02 and no Stefan/Elena. Eh, I still love it. (Speaking of season 03 episodes, maybe you read it and weren't inclined to comment, but I went all out for my "Homecoming" review and some "regulars" didn't respond and you were one of them, so I was thinking (hoping) you just missed it.... if so, and you're interested in reading/responding, here's the link to it. And yes, I feel totally lame doing this. :(

Oh dear, that was around the time when the coursework madness really kicked in, and I had to temporarily pull back from LJ to keep up. You might have noticed that I didn't do my own regularly scheduled review, either. To somehow make up for this blackout, I've been meaning to re-watch Homecoming sometime before the new episode airs and write up my thoughts (even though it's probably been discussed to death on the flist already, lol) + check out what friendlist made of it way back when, and since I love your reviews, I should be stopping by!

Yeah, I rewatched the first five episodes a few weekends ago, and I'm going to watch the last four this weekend. WHEE! :)

I did notice that you hadn't written yours up. I look forward to it. :)

Ohhhh, I love these!!! :D I LAUGHED ALOUD at the ones for the "Reckoning." :D (well, OK -- except sighing happily at the D/E ones :) OMG and "Let the Right One In" -- COMPLETE WITH MUSICAL NOTES!!! Ooh, "As I Lay Dying" is #7...wow, thought it might be higher! I know a few are missing ("Fool Me Once" -- OMG BEST EP EVER, and "Miss Mystic Falls"...can't WAIT to round out the top five!!! :)

Seriously so creative and well-done and I cannot WAIT for the rest!!! :D Eeeeeeeeeee!!! :)

I think when I post the final five here, I might wait a few days and then post all 20 over at BS, maybe (fingers crossed) help get some discussion going pre-new ep! I love AILD, but I do love the other 6 more. :)

I particularly like that one of your top five moments from "The Reckoning" is Matt drowning himself. I've read so many disses on my boy for that, but I don't care: I LOVE THE DRAMA. It was an awesome sequence, especially with Bonnie running to get to him.

Also, I never get over how funny Stefan being called Klaus's "little buddy" is.

I particularly agree with all five of the moments from "Let the Right One In." Excellent graphics too--Caroline's face is only second to Matty's face when he sees Elena there. I just love how there is always the history there. I always believe it, and I love that so much.

I won't say how many you got right or wrong, but I will say that as much as I did enjoy GW, it's not even in my top 30. After DB and TB, it's tied with TH in 3rd place of my least fave episodes this season. i just wrote that post on it because I thought it was a damn good episode and I was frustrated with the drubbing I was seeing.

After I put up my five, I'll come back here and explain the why of any that didn't make it that may (or may not) surprise you. (NGL, you know that MMF and TR are sooooooooooooo up there, LOL!)

We should do a Sweet 16 for all the episodes when S3 is over. That would be loads of fun, and just about the only way I could ever choose--but it would be fun to see how the voting would go.

I knew for sure that the Pilot, TNotC, FNB, Crying Wolf, and DB weren't going to make the list, but I did think GW would. I'm intrigued now for sure. So much excellence to choose from!

Hey, is "A Few Good Men" on the list? I just thought of that. It would have to be on my Top 20, I think. If I could make a top 20. Which I cannot. I'm just going to wait until the series is over and have "My 100 favorite Episodes" :D

Ooh, we should. That would be a really great hiatus idea! :)

The episodes that would definitely never make my top 20 are those, yes, but also TGTN, BB (I have SUCH a huge issue with that one, LOL!), ML, Rose (blah, blah, great, sad DE scene, overall great episode, but not stand-outish for me), BtLotM (even if it's much better upon rewatch), TD, TDP, Klaus (like BB, great episode with a HUGE issue in it for me), then the ones you listed. :)
