Happy Holiday all!
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, etc. I've had a lovely Christmas, especially because I had a Christmas miracle. :D
Some of you know that I lost a cast a few months ago. Well, on Thursday, a second cat got the same thing. Emotionally and financially, I couldn't deal with it all over again -- and I certainly couldn't put another cat through the horrid pain that my beautiful Dakota had gone through. I signed the euthanasia papers and was (obviously) a wreck. However, while saying goodbye to him, he started showing signs that pointed to a possible recovery. The vet came in and checked him and out and we decided to wait the day out, testing a few things with him.
I was still resigned to losing him because if he wasn't better by the end of the day, they were going to put him down. Then after lunch, I got the call that he had done what was needed; my dad picked him up and two days later he is in perfect health. Needless to say, I am very, very, very happy about this.
I'm also having a great time with my family -- and my precious kitty is here with me (got to give him his meds!), and doing fantastic! :D
