And cheap-looking. Both Bridget and Siobhan were not likable characters, for different reasons. Siobhan is a cold-hearted bitch, and Bridget is pathetic. Her sweeping into Siobhan's life just seemed so incredible, and her explanation just didn't work, definitely not as presented. I just, yeah, I wasn't impressed. And I couldn't even begin to judge SMG's acting as the twins because in "their" scenes together, all I could concentrate on was how bad the technical aspect was. It looked like cheap, split-screen. It was obvious it was the same actress cut into the same shot.
Normally, I probably wouldn't be so picky, but The Vampire Diaries has had several scenes with Elena and Katherine (both played by Nina Dobrev) and the technical aspect is completely seamless. It truly comes across as if you have two different actresses on screen together. Then there is the acting, where you can completely tell them apart, and they seem like two distinct characters. Based on the little bit of Siobhan we saw, there didn't seem to be that huge a difference between her and Bridget.
MIND-READER...That's what you are!! After I saw the Ringer, I had the exact same complaints. Here I thought I was being too much picky, but whew.
I mean How Juvenile was the special effects during the boat ride? A newbie could spot that it was done in front of a green screen. And let's say that the real Siobhan drugged her so Bridget was so obliviously asleep that she didn't even notice the way her sister disappeared from the middle of the ocean, leaving a scarf behind, but taking on her sister's role right after the fatal discovery felt like that she has been contemplating "The Switch" act from beforehand. Didn't she remember her call for help from the boat and how somebody might have picked up on it, and she could be caught in the next few hours, especially when Bridget has an FBI officer on her tail, the way she behaved with the officer after he came to visit Siobhan (Bridget), her whole personality seemed well rehearsed to fit her sister's role....
The "Twin" situation, bugged me very bad. I think it's because of Nina's UBER-PERFECTION in acting out the twin role of 2 polar different characters, that has me fascinated, for which I could spot the little "bugs" in both the roles that SMG played.
The story is good, but the pace was....eh....I don't know. Especially the ending, like I mentioned in the comment your other post, the ending of Ringer felt more "Whaat" to me, than the "SHock or Gasp" feeling it intended to create, I guess!
BUT The Secret Circle was a lotta fun!! I loved Phoebe Tonkin and after watching the show I love Faye. Adam is cute. Thomas Dekker has done a good job with the role The adults are much more than they appear which hooks me up with the mystery content. Gale Harold (character name: Charles Meade) reminded me of Elijah with his characteristic Hair!
Brit Robertson fits the role of Cassie pretty perfectly. Overall, The Circle won me. I'm definitely following this show!
