I'm sick ... quick tv thoughts, me=intro
I left work way early and am home today (which sucks because I really didn't want to miss work at all, but my brain is mush and I need my brain to NOT be mush to learn my job, so ... yeah home -- feverish, achy, fun). In order to not sleep non-stop (which I want to do), I did watch Monday night TV and I have some new friends via the going_my_way friending meme, so an intro ...
Me. I live in Georgia with 3 cats, my family leaves 15 minutes away and that's lovely. I just got a new job as a 9-1-1 dispatcher/call-taker and the training process is VERY LONG! I've been training for a month-and-a-half now and I still have a long way to go. Man, do those officers speak quickly, and all of the codes and signals. It's totally another language (thus the whole, needing my brain to work, and not be mush).
Fandom-wise, my main fandom right now is probably The Big Bang Theory featuring sheldon_penny (wonderful little fandom growing in leaps and bounds). Second is Doctor Who, second because while I do love the show, my main thrust is Doctor/Rose and Rose is, erm, gone. Plus, I despise Steven Moffat as a writer/producer, so once RTD's specials are over with, I'm, alas, done with Who. It's not Matt Smith, really. It's Moffat, plain and simple. Ah well. On the subject of Who, I know it's slow-going, but I'm doing extensive rewatch-reviews of almost all of the Rose-related episodes, plus my favorite episodes period. Right now I'm up to "The Parting of the Ways," but I actually plan on re-doing it. There was a two-month period between rewatching and reviewing "Bad Wolf," and since that is NOT how TPotW was meant to be watched, I missed a lot of things as the comments made clear. So .... in the next month or so, I'll be doing a rewatch-review take two of TPotW, and from then on, I hope to let no more than two weeks pass between the following episodes. Oh, and check out header -- I adore Billie Piper, she's my current favorite actress. My favorite actor is Jason Dohring known best from Veronica Mars and Moonlight. He has a possible new show next fall -- Body Politic -- go Jason!!!

HIMYM -- Eh, it was okay. That's about it. Of course, I was/am sick, so that may have affected my enjoyment.
DwtS -- Oh, why must I dislike Cheryl so? I adore Gilles, but I so don't want him to win because I don't want Cheryl to win. Ugh. DO. NOT. WANT. Okay, in order of least favorite to most favorite (CHELSIE/TY!!!CHELSIE/TY!!!CHELSIE/TY!!!)
Karina/Steve - Please go.
Maks/Denise - Please go next.
Derek/Lil Kim - No chemistry and she has no flow. And her nipple was totally peeking out of the top of her outfit during the interview, and Derek was doing his best to cover it once he noticed it by draping his arm continually over it. That was sweet of him.
Mark/Shawn - I don't like Mark, I just don't. I said it last week, I'll repeat -- I expect ballroom dance to be sensual, romantic, sexy ... Shawn is none of these three. It does not work for me at all.
Lacey/Steve-O - He wants this so badly, but yeah, no.
Cheryl/Gilles - Oh, why couldn't he have been paired with Edyta?!?!? That would have been awesome!!! They are this high in placement because of the awesome of Gilles. They are this low in placement because of the ugh of Cheryl. Why do I NOT like her? I don't know, but I never have.
Dmitry/Holly - I like both of these two and think that "it's hard" comment was so taken the wrong way; it was hard having to start over with a new partner. Geesh. Still, she's not that good, and I don't think they're quite connecting, but I still like them both.
Edyta/Lawrence - I love Edyta, when will she get a win? I like Lawrence, don't love him, but I like him.
Tony/Melissa - they're missing a spark, but I like them.
Julianne/Chuck - There's actually quite a huge leap between them and my next favorite (Chelsie/Ty), but I really don't like anyone more than them. I think Chuck is getting better, and it looks like Julianne did EXACTLY what I wanted her to do in my write-up last week. So go Julianne. Still love her, but I'm pretty sure I'd be a lot more meh if I didn't love her.
Chelsie/Ty - please stay forever and win because I love you lots and lots and lots and lots. They remind me so much of Apolo/Julianne -- I react to them the way I did to Apolianne. I like them THAT much!!!! Oh, please pull the underdog like Apolianne did and WIN!!!
24 - I love Larry Moss so, so, so much. Why can't he be the one rumored to return next year, instead of the freakisly-perpetually agonized looking Renee Walker -- she who drives me up a flippin' wall. Ugh, do not want. But I love Larry so much. LARRY! Good episode, if not great. And, oh, poor Jack.
