Doctor/Rose drawings/comics?

Jan 01, 2009 21:53

I've become quite interested in getting all kinds of drawings of Doctor/Rose in the last few days. I've found one of Nine/Rose, one of Ten/Rose, and three of TenII/Rose. And I know -- if only through the comics and storybook -- there have GOT to be more out there.

So, linkie?

I just friended you and saw that you are in GA. That's cool, as so am I. The club I mentioned in my reply to your review of TUD is the Atlanta Gallifreyans. We meet the 3rd Saturday of every month at the Doraville Civic Center. Check our LJ comm, atlgallifreyan for linking to the site and also to keep up with info about the club. Our Yahoo Group email list is the best way to keep up with things, though.

Our meetings have a bit of a set pattern, so to speak.

4:30 PM meet & greet, everyone sets out the food & drink they brought

5 PM announcements & intros

after that, we are currently watching

one episode of the 1st season SJA (just finished Eye of the Gorgon.
one episode of Nine (we are doing a rewatch of his season, but will interrupt with the Ten specials as they appear); next is WWW 3.
(a break for talking, more food and drink, etc.)
a Classic!Who cliffhanger--just one episode from the old serials; last month it was the 2nd part of The Daleks where we first seen a bit of a Dalek menacing Barbara.
Then a Classic!Who complete story. We just finished the 7th Doctor era, so are returning to the Third Doctor era with The Three Doctors, one of my faves.
(another break)
then a Torchwood 1st series episode;
and then random Brit TV or film stuff, if there's time and interest.

You're certainly more than welcome to attend, and bring friends!

We also co-sponsor a DW/Stargate con here in Atlanta over Memorial Day, called TimeGate. We have three tracks of programming, one for Who, one for SG, and the "Other", a catch-all. Our DW GoH is Louise "Leela" Jameson this year! The LJ comm is timegate. Links to the con site can be found there. :)

I found a Tripwire (UK mag) 2008 annual at the Book Nook (near Clairmont and North Druid Hills, in the Toco Hills area) with some lovely DW artwork, and a nice potted history of the show. That's one place to look. There's also The Forgotten a newish DW comic book, and there's also one with Classic!Who adventures. I get my comix at Titans. And there's also a cute (art) but engrossing comic story called The Ten Doctors. The artist posts updates at doctorwho with links to the comic.

Unfortunately, I can't get into Classic Who, and I haven't watched SJA yet, so I'd be a tad out of place. Not to mention that I ADORE RTD, ABHOR Moffat and I've found that in Who convention world that is NOT the majority at all.
