Monday Night Television!!!

Monday night TV and I actually managed to watch it all. Woohoo!!!

Gossip Girl - I really don't think I'm going to have the slightest problem waiting the next day for the Blair/Chuck scenes as opposed to watching the show itself, because the show itself is so lame to me. And, dude, could they have cast the English Lord any worse? Well, yes, Teddy Dunn comes to mind. But still, they did a really, really bad. I don't think I've ever been less interested in every aspect of a show other than the one thing that I like (Chuck/Blair) when watching television. Wow.

As for Blair/Chuck ... I'm rather annoyed, the best bits of this were ALL revealed in the previews/sneak peek scenes. So we were left with blah in the episode itself. Oh well.

Prison Break - Good episode; I'm really, really enjoying this season so far. I think they've done a great job in setting everything up and the interaction of the characters is fabulous. I'm loving this. Out of all of the seasons, I'd put this at the top in terms of how the first four episodes played out thus far. Everything is just clicking so well, moving along not too fast, not too slow, and the new cast members are fabulous. And how T-Bag and the others are meeting up does make sense since they are after the same thing in a way.

The Closer - Great final episode; my only complaint is that I was a little annoyed that Brenda didn't show any remorse for sneaking back into the crime scene as she did in the beginning. But then, this IS Brenda. Still, tense, compelling episode that made me tear up. I was like, oh' Don't let anything happen to Daniels! Oh, okay, I don't want to lose her but I will if it means Tao is okay. Oh, man, NOT PROVENZA!!! Fine, take Tao, just don't touch Provenza!!!!' Then that little psycho shot at Provenza and Sanchez took the bullet after bullet after bullet. Oh man. So sad, and then the final shot of that helicopter, it's going to be a long wait to January.

The best for last ...

Terminator - It was a a really good episode, and one that would have been great had they cast someone as Riley who was (a) interesting (b) charismatic (c) better than a merely okay actress. When most of her screen-time was opposite the not very interesting, so-so in the charisma department, and merely adequate Thomas Dekker, let's just say their scenes were less than appointment television. I get the WHY of this relationship sparking up now, but the actors together were just not capable of selling anything worth watching for me.

On the other hand, the other stories were fabulous! Charlie and the deal with his wife, with the help of Ellison, did a nice job of setting up what's coming. Cameron is still a tad off and seeing the line between what we were used to with her and this is just so intriguing and Summer Glau is KICKING ASS! Brian Austin Green didn't have much to do, but he was good. And then there was Sarah. Man, Lena Headey kicked ass too here. She's so good, so so so good. I felt so much for Sarah through the whole thing. And that final scene: Sarah trying to get comfort from CAMERON? And Cameron, naturally unable to get it, sounding so robotic with her "I don't know's" and then when Cameron asked her a similar question about herself, the very human Sarah could only offer "I don't know" as well.

Bad casting on Riley or not, still a very good episode. I love this show.
