I'm just so happy that Ginny is what we all ("we all" meaning those of us who have agreed about this for years) saw there, just beneath the surface shyness - a strong, passionate, powerful, flawed, goodhearted, beautiful girl. We saw it lurking in her character every time JKR scratched the surface for us - when Ginny shouted at Malfoy in Flourish and Blotts, when she survived the diary, when she snapped at Harry and Ron about the girls they'd invited to the Yule Ball, when she patiently endured Neville's toe-mashing... Dozens of little things, all pointing in one clear direction.
And I'm so glad that she never really gave up on Harry. I mean... we knew she never would. We knew it; we knew what kind of loyal, deathless heart JKR had written for her, from she had from the moment she laid eyes on him at King's Cross. But to *see* it there, in black and white like that... I cried like an idiot. I warped that page of the book.
I love them so much. I love them so much. I have now officially worked myself up into a state of joy.
Seriously, who can work right now?! Who? I defy you to be productive when there has been such a book!
