Movie Stuff
Hm, so, I've only recently gotten back into LJ. Been forever! As proven by my almost non-existent friends list :P However, I thought I'd post some thoughts on movies I've seen recently, since I've seen quite a few in the last few weeks.
Letters to Juliet: I have been wanting to see this FOREVER. I actually really enjoyed the movie. I'm not a huge Amanda Seyfried fan, but I thought she was good in this one. The lady that played Claire was amazing, and so beautiful as well. And Gael Garcia Bernal as Victor... haha. He was incredibly annoying, but that was the point of his character I suppose!
The Last Song: Watched this because I had read the book. Miley... yeah. What is there to say? She's an interesting actress. Interesting as in terrible. I don't listen to her music at all, but I think that's what she should stick to. I like the story, but the movie kinda butchered it :/
The Expendables: Surprisingly, I loved this movie. Though I do love me some Jason Statham. I'm not usually much into mind-numbing action movies, but this one was well done. And the Governator was in it! FTW. I'm impressed, Mr. Stallone.
The Other Guys: Kind of amusing in parts, but otherwise, just a typical Will Ferrell movie. I'm not a huge fan of his. I laughed out loud once I think. Then again I'm not a huge fan of comedy in general. It was an alright movie.
MacGruber: I have no idea why I watched this. At all. Lol. Ryan Phillipe was amusing in it, but otherwise, it was over the top and... kinda gross in most parts. Celery, anyone? Not a great movie.
All the Boys Love Mandy Lane: I have no idea why I even ended up getting this, I guess because I saw Michael Welch in the credits. Wow, he looks so different in this movie. Movie wasn't scary to me... and kind of predictable as well. And also was kind of weird how they didn't show Mandy at all before she became "hot"... or tell any back story on what happened to her. So it was just... yay lets kill people for no apparent reason!
