K, so I should probably be writing my essay for Microbial Physiology right now, but it's only three to four pages long and I've already done all the research so I figured I'd send a little 'catch-up' note.
Things are going fairly well aside from the 10.5 inches of snow and 1.5 inches of frozen rain that we got in a freak snowstorm on Friday. It was just supposed to be showers until the day before, when the weathermen changed it into a snow event, and then it went from 4 inches, to 6, to 8-10 and we ended up with over 10. Way to go weather dudes! But I guess they can't win them all... (just between you and I - they haven't been winning many this winter)
The freak snowstorm delayed the Gay-Straight Alliance party planned for Friday night to Saturday night. So on Saturday night I had about a dozen people over and several of them got quite drunk and it was all very amusing aside from the girl drama, but that happens in relationships of all varieties. A lot of fun times there, and some great jokes that I can see running for a while. For example, during the discussion of a future get together, bowling was mentioned and one of my quite inebriated friends yelled “Bowling is for FAGS!” Which prompted quite the laugh from the group as there were quite a few people of non-straight orientation in the room.
Otherwise, Cody and I move in a couple weeks; school is winding down and I'm winding up for the busy summer season and my gardening obsession. This year, I was really bitten by the gardening bug. For my birthday from my parents I received almost all of the necessary gardening equipment: hoe, rake, shovel, 3-pronged thing and a 2.5 gallon bucket with a handle. They also gave me an assortment of leftover seeds from their garden and a strawberry plant with which to start my own patch. ^_^ Here's the
assortment of seeds that I have bought/acquired from my parents.

It seems excessive, but you must realize I have a 20x25' plot to fill and all of the borders around the house and possibly a patch behind the new house. I know that there's already tulips and some variety of large flowering shrub in the front yard, so I guess I'll see what else is there when we move in!
