Effffff
I accidentally erased a document today that I'd written down a bunch of story ideas on. I thought I had it backed up on my hard drive (the file that got erased was on a zip drive that my cat loved up while it was plugged in and bent into a 90 degree angle). I was trying to transfer the files to a new drive before the old one completely tanked, and when I opened the document to double check it, it was blank! I thought, no worries, I have this saved on my desktop. Nope! That document had the same name, but it was a completely different document.
I kind of want to kick myself in the head. And then kick the computer. I was already frazzled because work is pulling me in 3 different directions (seriously, all three of my bosses gave me special projects in the same week!) Which is why even as I type this I have reports for work running in the background. I work from home anyway, so it's not a big deal and I can wander off and do whatever in the hour+ they take to run but...
