Ok, so I found out today from our source to everything in the commons that the company that bought Wedgewood/Waterford, US based company called KPS, closed all the stores in the US and all the Royal Doulton stores except for the one we have and the one in Vegas. I had assumed that it was just our store that closed because maybe they were evicted by the commons for not paying their rent or something.
And when did they tell all the stores that this was going to happen? 8:45pm thur night. They found out fifteen minutes before they were going to close up for the night that they no longer had jobs and that all the merchandise would be packed up and be gone before the morning!
Scary thing is, KPS almost bought us!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad they didn't. And they have this whole thing on the hush, the former employees aren't supposed to talk about it and they haven't issued a press release.
Also, I did some research and they are basically planning to have everything made in Indonesia instead of England. What a bunch of shits. They are no doubt planning to take advantage of any perks going on now for businesses but aren't going to put any profits towards american jobs.
