LIVE IN~!!
Yeah, 3rd grade of SHS in my school had a live in to Yogyakarta. I took a week 3rd grade of SHS in my school had a live in to Yogyakarta. 9th January 2011 at 4pm we gathered in front of ex-China’s embassy. On the road, we just chatting, laughing, listening to the music, watching movies, etc. We took the dinner, and we arrived at 7am in Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. We took around 14 hours with bus and you should believe me that it was so LONG and SUPER TIRED!
10th January 2011
the first day! We got our breakfast, and they started to divised us into 6 regions, such as Kembang, Jurang Depok, Jetis Kulon, Boro Kulon, Kalijeruk, and Boro Gunung. I lived in Kalijeruk together with Gita as my partner at Mr. Sunaryo and Mrs. Sri’s household. There are also Melinda, Theresia, Igna, Sheren, Andri, Tika, Melissa, Garry, Yohana, Jesslyn, etc (sorry. There were around 20 people including me. I can’t mention them all).
The feeling of the people living in village is good. Even if it's just the first time meeting with them, I like that they can get along with people easily and that they're friendly. The view is also beautiful, it's the best!
Because we have just arrived from a long-and-tired journey, so me and Gita took a bath, and continuing our slept from 9.30am until 1pm. What? I thought we had slept for 5 hours. Then we helped Mrs. Sri in field because she wanted to spread the fertilizers on their millets. But, unlucky me. I fell down on the slippery land so my legs and my pants became dirty, full with mud. I can’t help her so I just take a look at around. When we’re at the way back home, I fell again for the second time! Damn.
Gita asked to play around the river so I came back home to change my pants, cleaned my legs and we goes to the river which just next to the house. Mrs. Sri washed their clothes and she talked a lot about their family, their neighbors, etc.
At this moment, I really curious because my teacher still haven’t coming at our house. Are they really wanted to lost-contact with us? Especially my region didn't have any teacher to watch out their eyes of us, kind of pity. They should! At least say hi, or say that we had our free time for gathered together because us, me and Gita, felt like we had been forgotten by them! Moreover, our house was kinda far from any other friends’ houses.
11th January 2011
Last night I slept at 7pm and in the morning I woke up at 7am. Such a lazy girl, but really, my body needs a soft bed because of the previous night I can’t slept well. When we’ve already eaten the breakfast Mrs. Sri made (the breakfast contains with beef but I think it’s a bit tought, sorry no offense) and took a bath, we’re going to the garden. The road is move upward, took a lot of energy. On the top, we didn't take anything because there’s nothing. I mean, no one of the trees having a harvest fruit to be taken. Ah, to tell the truth, I really want to know how to take a harvest fruit from it tree.
Then both of us asked permission for walking around the village. Then we go to the hospital in the central of the village. We met a lot of friends there. Hwahh, I’m envying my friends who lived here. Their houses were so close to each other. But I’ll said “thank God” because my house wasn’t that poor. Adrian said that he had to sleep in the dark because his room doesn’t have any lamp, and his toilet is … (I really can't describe it in a word. There was only a foothold and in the middle there’s a hole). Fanny and others said that in the bath, there is a small fish inside. And then, they heard a sound of lizard, etc.
At noon, we were coming back home, took a bath. And we gathered in the living room, just like a family. Talking about anything that happens on this day, sharing our experiences, laughed together. This day was my best day so far on my live in. Because we were really can get along very well while the previous day we’re still shy when asked a thing.
We also watched the TV program together. We watched a show called “Super Show” and the guest was “Kuburan Band”. They are so funny, and an airhead. \(^o^)/. But they could shared their happiness with us. Good entertainer, they are.
Around 9pm, my teacher from school, Mr. Subari and Mr. Herybertus came to our house (finally~!!). They told us for coming to the church tomorrow morning at 5 A.M because all of us will walks together to the waterfall. When my parents heard that, they’re shocked! Because the distance is 8 km, and we were going there by foot! It took 2 hours. Fuh. They also gave the parents some money because they’ve take over us along this 2 days, and next day.
Then, 15 minutes after my teacher back to their place, my friends from the same region with us came to our household, asking us if we want to stay the night in Sheren’s house so in the morning we can go together to the church. I said no. Because it just made me walk farer. My house is the nearest to the church if you compared to another house in the same region with me. And Gita won’t go to the waterfall because she feels lazy. She’s prefers to accompany Mrs. Sri to the market.
12th January 2011
Yeah, I can’t agree anymore with my parents said. Super long and super hard! With the road that is move upward, slippery because of the rain, it really took 2 hours! Luckily, Mrs. Sri gave me a cup of hot tea in the morning so my stomach won’t get any cold and feels warm. But I didn't take any breakfast though she had asked me to. I just can’t inconvenienced her anymore. She woke up earlier, heating the water, and woke me up because I don't have any cell phone, any alarm, even any watch, so I don't know the exact time there.
At first, we’re so powerful, but in the end we lose our strength (>.<). Yeah, plus a windy and wet weather, because we’re in the mountain, I guess. But once you saw the waterfall, it’s awesome! We took a lot of photos. At first, I really didn't want to play with the water. But when we took a photo, Mansell spread the water using his hand and splash, we’re all wet just in time. Moreover, the other was doing the same thing too~. We didn't bring any cloth, because we never taught that we’ll be this wet. After about a half an hour, I can't stand any longer so I decided to go back. The weather was super cold~!
One thing then happened after I came back home. On the previous night, I said to my father and mother that I’ve been asked by my mother to take Sendang water. And there was a rumor that today we would like to go to the Sendangsono, but the plan was changed I guess, we’re not going to the Sendangsono on the next day (means today). Mrs. Sri said this to me after I relaxed for a while in the living room, “then please take a bath and have some meals, father will accompanying you to go to the Sendangsono using motorcycle.”
Aww~ I’m speechless at that time. They still didn't know that I would be going to Sendangsono with my friends. I’m really appreciated their kindness. It feels like villagers really do their best for their “guest” like us, right? So we will be satisfied for living there.
13th January 2011
This is the last day~!! I’m excited that we’re going to the central of Yogyakarta. But I had a feeling that I’ll miss every single thing I did here. And yes, I missed it. I woke up at 5.30am, and just like previous day, I’ve been woken up and there was a voice by Mrs. Sri asked me to wake up. She made a breakfast for us. On that day, I had a thought in my mind, “this is gonna be the last breakfast”, “I used to sleep on this bed, but from now on, I won’t.” things like that comes to my mind. Tentatively, I ate a bigger portion than before, though the food was the same as last night plus fried egg as a dish side.
Then at 7am Mr. Anton and Mr. Subari pick us up using motorcycle. I said goodbye to them and shake their hands. We’re going to the church. We had our mass there. When it ended, Mr. Subari said some words like thank you, sorry, and goodbye to the villagers and vice versa. Then we took our own luggage, put it to the bus, and yes, live in at Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta is already ended nicely! But the warm-and-welcomed-feeling is still remains in my heart!!
After we left Kulon Progo, we’re going to “Taman Pintar”. Nothing attracts me at first, but then I found something fun in it. Trying some experiments, mostly related with maths, physics, and chemistry. But it was fun yo! There’s a 4D movie but I didn't try to watch it.
Then we go lunch and arrived at our hotel which just for one night, around Malioboro. Not bad, I think. It nice, with a swimming pool though it isn’t as nice as the hotel we stayed last year when we had a study tour to Bandung. My room number is 111, and my roommates were Melinda, Evelyn, Livia, and Wija. Yeah, we’re 5 and others only for 3 or 4 peoples. And you know what, our room has a bigger size than other though we need to queue the toilet if we want to take a bath.
Me, Evelyn, Melinda, and Novita were walking around Malioboro at that time, we weren’t buying anything because we only had a half an hour left to go back to the hotel, took a bath and going to the next place, to watch “Sendratari Ramayana” in Prambanan but it was already full because other school had been arrived the place and my school don't. So we moved to somewhere I don't know for watching it. I’ve been so sleepy along the show, but in the last minutes of the show I remembered that I brought a coffee candy with me (I wonder why I’ve been so sleepy that night, I wonder if I had enough time to sleep last night). So I put it in to my mouth and for a while, I feels so powered up, specially there’s a cute little kid as a little monkey which really attracts us, not only me, because of his cuteness.
Then we’re going back to the hotel. We still had 1 hour to go outside before my teacher will be locked the gate after the clock pointed at 12.01am. Then we bought a fried-bread, mine was filled with peanuts’ jam. We were going back before 12am. On that night, something unwanted happened to my friends, and it’d been a hot topic to be talking for, even though it was already 2am. I’m not in to the topic, either with my roommates. So we slept in the bed that had been decided after we came to this hotel. I got the bed near the window, the highest one, and single bed, because I lost at jan ken with them. T_T
14th January 2011
This is the last day of the tour. I only had 5 hours to sleep, I’m so sleepy~. I really don't have any idea why my friends whose was spent the night with playing cards, and still could be so energetic in the morning because they might be only had 2 hours to sleep!
We checked out from the hotel at 10am. Because I woke up at 7.30am, I took my breakfast quickly, took a bath all in hurry so I could walk around Malioboro for buying something because my relatives will be mad if I didn’t bring anything for them. And after an hour, I’ve got everything I need!
After the bus came, we were going to Borobudur temple. But before, we ate the lunch with seafood! It’s really hard to believe. Fish, shrimps, keredok, etc. The restaurant has a good view, and we took a lot of time in there!
So, we ended up at Borobudur. The weather was kinda wet because of the rain. The four of us rent a bicycle. We took a lot of photos. Unluckily, the highest part of the temple was contemporarily closed. So we can’t move upward any further.
And after that, we’re going to go back to Jakarta and we arrived here at 7.30am. I’m so tireedd at that time.
That’s what happened for a week far from a home. And my friends really tagged a lot of photos at facebook after that, I’m lucky because I don’t need to tagged it myself.. ^^
school,
friends
