Yesterday I took part in an imitation of Amazing Race around Saskatoon. I was on a team of 6, and we had a bunch of checkpoints we had to stop at, with a task to do and a clue to the location of the next one. Then there was a list of things we had to do for extra points, with a photo to prove it. We did such tasks as hunting down a feather, selling a strange and useless object and using the money to buy someone's flowers from their front yard, and getting a group of people who just arrived from Botswana to agree to do the Macarena. Then there was a bbq afterward. My team won second place out of six teams! Yay! Good times.
I just discovered that if a TV is hooked up to the S-Video out and no monitor is hooked out, it will direct the video there from boot, not depending on my windows driver. Neat. So now I'm relaxing on my couch, using my TV as my screen. Now I don't have to set everything up before bringing my computer up here.
Note to self: Make borshch soon!
