[When the feed comes on, Alfred looks a little...frazzled, to put politely. His hair is a mess, and he's trying to hide the fact that he actually feels some pain. Alfred's smile is tight.]

H-hey, does anyone know if there's aspirin or something to help with a little headache?

[It isn't his world, but he still feels the effects the Civil War had ( Read more... )

Alfred, how bad is that headache?

[He would try to sneak into the infirmary, as stealthy as a guy in armour can be.]

Um...pretty bad? [He doesn't want to say what it actually feels like for a few reasons. The only reason Alfred is still standing is through sheer force of will...and stubbornness.]

Should I go and get something for you?

I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Roland! I'm in Room 29!

It'll take me a moment, so hang in there.

[Will be leaving for the infirmary now, his Golem following behind him. Considering what he heard about Matron, Roland hopes he can sneak in without being caught.]

Takes more than this to keep me down, so no problem!

[He grins as he sits down on the bed to wait for Roland.]

[When he arrive at the infirmary, it took Roland a while to somehow sneak in and grab the aspirin. Which is surprising, considering what they told him about Matron (basically 'she's scary, don't get hurt') and how he's wearing armour on hard floor.

There's some very close calls, almost giving him an heart attack.

A bottle of aspirin in hand, he quickly left the infirmary and made his way over to Alfred's room.

...Knock, knock.]

[Alfred winces slightly at the sound, but opens the door with a cheerful grin.]

Hey, Roland! C'mon in!

Got the aspirins here, Alfred.

[Hands the bottle over to Alfred, as he walks inside.]

I'm sorry that it took me a while.

Thanks!

[He takes the bottle gratefully, and takes out a couple pills, swallowing them before answering.]

Don't worry about it! I've been through a lot worse than this.

Worse than this?

[He blinks. Must be quite something to be worse than what he have seen of this headache.]

If you don't mind me asking, how so?

[Alfred screws the lid back on, setting the bottle of pills on the dresser for the moment. He internally debates on what to tell him. Eventually, Alfred decides to just take a leap of faith.]

I don't mind, really! It's more like a secret my friends and I have to keep from most of the general population. [He pauses a moment.] ...See, I'm a lot older than I look. Like, I'm 234. This is because I'm the personification of America, and I live as long as my country does.

...Wait, what?

[He blinks and stare in surprise and disbelief, his mind trying to register what Alfred just said. Like how old he is and pretty much said he's a country.]

So you're...basically your country itself?

[He grins.]

Yep! I'm the beliefs, people, laws, everything that makes up my country in one human body! It's the same with my friends, too! Every country has a personification!

Wow...

[He try imagine what it's like to have everything about a country, all those things, in one person. And that there's one for every country in Alfred's world, which can easily mean there's a lot of them.]

What was it like, being a country?

It's...amazing, sometimes! We try to help our leaders in politics, and it's so cool to see how the people change to try making their life easier to handle!

[Alfred smiles a tad wistfully.]

But there's some bad things, too. Wars and natural disasters are what really hurt us, give us scars. Like, right now, there's a Civil War in my country. I dunno if it's still going, or if it's just the after-effects, but I can still feel an echo of what I felt back then. The Akuma don't help, either.
