Right, so in light of some pretty disappointing recs lately on torchwood_house and the frankly ooc and low quality res on janto_recs my partners in crime and I have decided enough is enough already and have formed a new rec comm for Torchwood.
It is for fic, art, vids, meta, anything...but there are some pretty high standards here. Rule #1? Canon. If the piece does not slot nicely into the show, it is labeled AU, and we're cool with that. But AU or canon, there must be characters acting as the characters on the show would. If your Ianto is a woobie boy who cries big fat tears every time Jack looks away or someone spills something, if your Jack freely shares his feelings with people, if your Gwen loves to be called pet names...well, we won't touch your fic/whatever with a ten foot pole inside a radiation suit.
However, if you want a range of well written, IC recs, please feel free to join and check it out. Also, please to suggest anything you'd like to see us rec there. We will review it and if it fits, we'll rec it.

They don't hold with any of this ooc nonsense, and aren't afraid to tell you if your fic sucks. Yes, we are bitchy and we live on a steady diet of snark, but we also love good quality fandom. Since no one else was providing, we decided to fill the gap.
