1. Post a list of up to 20 books/movies/anime/TV shows/video games/etc. that you've had an obsessive fannish love of at some time in your life

Never watched Angel. Was Willow on that? Briefly as a guest. I'm working through the DVDs now.
Catwoman? Not the movie version, please. *shudder* Nope. And I haven't seen that movie.
The Black? He was always my fave, although Alex was alright... Of course. At age 8-12 it was all about the horse.
All I remember of the Famous five was the dog, but I'm guessing the girl with dark curly hair? Indeed. The rest of them were wet, but George was important in ways I couldn't explain when I was nine.
Lefthand of Darkness... was that the one with the shrink trying to cure the guy of true nightmares? I'm so good with this stuff. :o Nope, that's Lathe of Heaven. Lefthand is the androgynous winter planet.
LoTR... Haldir. For sure for certain. :p Craig Parker was really good in the local soap, and excellent in several Tom Stoppard plays, and doing Theatre Sports with Kevin Smith.
Rosemary Sutcliff - the Amazons, as drawn by Alan Lee. Love those harlequin tights! Although you've probably read some of her real books, unlike me. :o I've not seen that one. Yeah, my username comes from one of her books.
Pern - anyone but the blonde bimbo. Or the wimpy dark haired girl who also lost her dragon and ended up with Lessa's partner's younger brother (F'nor, F'lar, whoever he was). Bree, was that the wimp's name? Please tell me she wasn't your favorite.... I loved Lessa in the first book and sort of did a fade on the whole series after that; thought they go progressively less interesting, although my sister loved the younger kid's series which was pretty good, but then they came out with the Robinton book which made him such a jerk, I'm told, that she gave up on them, too... I think. If you were reading them at age eight you probably read the series I didn't. The heroine of the kid's series was okay, though. Didn't read them til I was twelve. And yeah. I was impressed with All the Weyrs of Pern, but they've since lost it, and I've outgrown them.
Silver Brumby - I liked his mom the best, IIRC. My daughter ran off with the book and I still haven't reread it. I should track it down again. My choice is from a later book.
Star Wars - Leia, I hope. Or Luke. Please tell me it's not Aniken. No way. Yeah, it's Leia, though I don't think it was whn I was 5. Which Superman? I loved Lois in the '70's comics, hated her in the Chris Reeve movies. Love Lex Luthor in the Elliot Maggin novels and the Smallville series and he wasn't bad in the series with... erm... the girl who played the ditz on MacGyver. Yeah. And the really cute guy as Clark, the only one better looking than the guy who played him in Smallville. Ah! I remember: The Adventures of Lois and Clark. Which remains my favorite version. Great interpretation of Lois, I'm going to assume that's your series and your character. Wow, well picked. I got into the comics through The Death and Life of Superman, and then Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman became an obsession, so that is indeed my Lois.
V - my favorite character was the oriental sidekick who got offed the second episode. Next favorite... the nice-guy alien who had curly hair when he was made up as a human. Or the little kid who was half and half (I thought her mother an idiot). If you were Var, I'd guess Jane Badler's character. Since you're not Var, haven't a clue. And, yes, I broke down and checked imdb for that - how the heck many "V" series were there? '83, '84 (the two I saw), '99, 2000 and 2003! Wow. I had no idea. The nice alien was Freddy Kruger. I liked the child Elizabeth, not the grown up one, and I was fascinated by Jane Badler back then. There were two miniseries in 83, 84 and then a TV series. Nothing since then , the maker of the first miniseries is trying for a sequel set 20 years later, but the studios want him to reshoot the original.
X-Files - Scully, who is wonderful.
Indeed.
I've updated the post with the correct guesses. Hope the kidlet is doing better.
