DEAR QUEEN VICTORIA, I HOPE THIS TELEGRAM FINDS YOU IN THE AFTERLIFE BECAUSE I NEED A COPY OF YOUR SPEECHES TO PARLIAMENT FOR THIS PAPER I'M WRITING. NO, NOBODY'S INVADING. THANKS ANYWAY. I'M GLAD ALBERT IS DOING WELL. SAY HI TO LORD MELBOURNE FOR ME. TTYL.
I'm actually kind of relieved that they're not going to ship it over here. There are a couple of requests I made yesterday of books that a/ are in London and b/ were published in the late 19th century, and the thought of what might happen to them en route is a little terrifying. Don't know if I'll get the other books I requested. But now I'm not sure where to find transcripts of her speeches without any pesky editorial intervention.
