Well, went to local furry meet last weekend, friday was the movie meet, about 5 of us got together to go see DOOM the movie. I expected it to just be first person view of running around shooting things, But surprisingly it wasn't, and actually had a plot and actors. Wasn't BAD, but wasn't AWESOMELY GOOD, either. I think what kept it from being really good, was that they actually did put in first person shooting towards the end, that really killed whatever good the movie had established.
I GOT STICKY AT A LOCAL FURRY MEET FINALLY! Not what you're thinking though! Dirty minded perverts! Lhexa snuck in a bottle of soda and it sprayed all over me.
Then sunday, was the first-sunday-furry-meet we have at the first sunday of every month locally at pappa's pizza. Was fun, with some of the usual drama i heard about later. had my usual dead cow patty with cheese and beacon. got to see some of Baka's realistic-looking furry art, and meet him, maybe this weekend when i get money i can have him draw me ^^ Not sure who else to put in the pic though, we'll see.
On another note, i sold Laptop's carcass on ebay, got $308 for it. Went and bought a motherboard for my P4 processor (which works GREAT). Bad story with that.. First fry's only has 3 socket 478 motherboards in the store (the one in irving), an Abit with a VIA chipset, an ECS with a SiS chipset, and a mini-ATX gigabyte with an Intel 865G chipset. Of course i went with the gigabyte, intel chipsets are FAST, as i found out.
First board i had, everything worked fine, except the drivers CD was cracked into 8 peices out of the box. Stupid fry's fucked me over though and forced me to take an exchange instead of giving me my money back. And they didn't have any new-in-box versions of the board i bought, i was forced to take one that'd been previously returned.
Found out when i got home why the board i was forced to take, got returned: the #3 ddr slot (which is a requirement for dual-channel) did not function at all. So, when ever mother gets done getting ready, i'll be heading back to fry's and demanding money back this time. Goto the fry's in dallas and hope they have more selection of 478 boards :(
Probly going to get another stick of corsair XMS. Btw, if you're into overclocking, BUY CORSAIR XMS! I have a 333mhz stick.. it runs FINE at 422mhz! 89mhz over! Almost unheard of for memory! Just make sure you have good air-flow in the case, cause it gets HOT when overclocking. Probly going to pick up a 400mhz stick of XMS at fry's dallas anyway, just to be able to run both sticks at 456mhz.
