Chapter 1
Kame was annoyed. Jin had called him two hours ago that he was coming home from the airport. By train the trip from there to Kame's apartment would only take about an hour, so the other man was really late.
He let out an irritated sigh as he wiped the living room table for ninth time that day. Since Jin had announced that he'd return to Japan that Thursday, Kame had been furiously cleaning the apartment for every minute of freetime he had. He knew it would be useless though, Jin wouldn't notice it. Kame knew his fiancè far too well: at first Jin would be hungry. After that need was satisfied he would be horny as hell, so they would end up having an all night sex marathon before getting up early for work. That had always been the most common routine in their relationship... His line of thought was interrupted by the doorbell. His heart was beating exitedly as he opened the door.
At first they just stared at each other in silence.
”Jinjin...” Kame finally said, his voice barely audible.
”Kazu-chan...”
Then Kame couldn't take it anymore. He leaped on Jin's arms, burying his face on his lover's shoulder. Jin hugged him back with almost crushing power.
”Tadaima.” Jin whispered in his ear with a harsh voice.
”Okaeri.”
They stayed like that for a while. Just holding each other, feeling the closeness and warmth and that special feeling you only get to feel in the arms of your most precious person. However, even the most beautiful moments must end and this time it was the loud rumbling sound from Jin's stomach that made them separate.
”So... you got any food?” Jin asked as he took his bags and dragged them inside the apartment.
Kame smiled at himself. I really know you way too well... He took a hold on Jin's hand and led him to the kitchen. ”The dinner is almost ready, just sit there and wait.”
As the taller man sat down he took a quick look around the room. ”Wow, it's really neat in here. Even more than usual. You haven't spend the whole week cleaning just for me?” He said jokingly. And suddenly the younger man was on his lap, arms wrapped around his neck, the soft lips on his, giving him a long passionate kiss.
”What was that for?” Jin asked when they finally broke apart.
”For always managing to surprise me in the most sweetest ways.” Kame said and leaned in for another long kiss.
Jin hadn't got a slightest idea of what he had just said or done to recieve such a loving treatment, but after a short thinking process his brain decided it didn't actually matter at all. He was back home with his loved one and that was all he needed to know.

Next morning Kame woke up with a wide smile on his face. He was in Jin's arms, head leaned on the other one's chest. This was probably the thing he had missed the most during his fiancè's absence: waking up with your loved one. As they were both idols, with a busy schedules and sworn secrecy about their lovelifes, these kinds of moments were consired as a rare luxury.
He glanced at the clock and noticing that it was still too early to get up he sighed contentedly and closed his eyes.
”Kazu...” Jin suddenly mumbled with a sleepy voice.
”Yes?”
”You're awake?”
”No.”
”Okay.” And with that, he seemed to fall back to sleep.
Kame had to gather all of his self-control to not burst in laughter. Everyone knew Jin wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but at mornings his brain seemed to be completely nonfunctional.
Kame poked at the other man's cheek. ”Baka. Of course I'm awake, since I'm answering you!”
Jin opened his eyes slowly and looked thoughtful for a moment. The thinking process seemed to be too much so Kame decided to change the subject.
”Can I ask you something?”
”Sure.”
”Why you were late yesterday?”
”Well, after I had called you, I noticed that I was hungry. So I went to eat.” Jin said in a tone that made it sound like the most obvious thing in the world.
”But you were hungry when you got here!”
”After all these years you should already know that I'm always hungry.”
”And it shows! Looks like you've gained some weight during your trip.” Kame giggled as he poked Jin's belly.
”Well... I was lonely without you.”
”So you replaced me with food? Baka. I think I'll put you on a diet!”
”Now you're just being mean!” Jin said with a shocked expression on his face. Kame just giggled and gave him a peck on the lips.

A few months later...
After Jin's return to Japan, he had moved in Kame's apartment. At that time it had seemed like the most reasonable solution, but as Kame was cleaning after his fiancè, for a third time that day, he was starting to have second thoughts.
”Jin, if you take the last cookies, you should put the empty box to the trashcan!” Kame yelled from the kitchen. He knew he sounded like a nagging housewife, but he just couldn't keep the annoyance off his voice.
”Yes dear.” Jin answered from the living room, where he was sprawled on the couch, watching TV.
As Kame joined his fiancè on the couch, he noticed the other had ate the cookies there and now the carpet was covered with crumbs. He sighed. ”I really think you should stop feeding that carpet or it'll get as fat as you.” He said with a sarcastic tone.
”Yes dear.” Was the answer again. It was obvious Jin wasn't listening.
”Since you're in such a compliant mood, I think it would be time to talk about our wedding.”
”Yes de... wait! What wedding? We're getting married?” Jin looked at his fiancèe with wide eyes.
Kame smiled. Finally he had the other's full attention. ”Yes we are. Don't you remember? When you proposed me you said, and I quote: 'Kazu-chan, when I get back, I'll arrange you the wedding of your dreams. I promise.' So now that you're back, I want my wedding!”
Jin was starting to panic. Yes, he had said those words, but to tell the truth he hadn't really thought it through. It was one of those things people say on the spur of the moment. It wasn't like he had a fear of commitment or anything, but the whole idea of doing something so huge and irrevocable so suddenly really freaked him out. Of course he wanted to get married some day, but that was supposed to be some day in the distant future. Jin searched his brain for a good reason that would postpone this conversation for a few years.
”I've been back for few months already. Why bring this up now?” He said, trying to buy some time to think.
”In case you haven't noticed, we've been on a concert tour! Arranging a wedding takes a lot of time so I decided to wait until we have more freetime.”
”But Kazu, arranging a wedding is very expensive. We don't have that kind of money.”
”Well actually, while you were in America I already started to do some preparations. Turned out that both of our parents are willing to support us financially and I also have some savings.”
”You told our parents that we're getting married!?” Jin shrieked. This whole thing was getting out of hand.
”Of course! You said we would! And besides, we're engaged and now that we're living together, of course the next step will be getting married!”
”Well maybe I don't want to take the next step! I think we're perfectly fine as we are now.” While saying that, Jin crossed his arms on his chest, as if to state that this topic was done.
Both of them were silent. Kame just sat there looking at his hands for a long time while Jin was staring at the distance with a stubborn look on his face. The silence was broken when the younger one started sobbing. When Jin turned his head he noticed the tears on his fiancèe's cheeks.
”Are... *sob* are you saying that... you... *sob* don't want to marry me?”
”Yes! I mean no! I mean... I don't know... it's just that...” Jin started, but was cut off.
”FINE! If being with me is so damn difficult for you, then maybe you're better off by yourself!” Kame yelled and stood up. Before Jin could do or say anything, the other one had stormed out of the apartment.
Jin sighed. Way to go Bakanishi. You made him mad again. He scolded himself. It wasn't until now that the content of their argument begin to clear for him. He realized that once again his brain had failed him by not converting the thoughts into words correctly.
He picked up his phone and called Kame, only to hear the chorus of Pinky starting to play in the kitchen.
To be continued...
