January has been such a roller coaster. I'm all ready for February's entrance.
With my grandfather's passing away, our house has been full of people everyday - from our aunts and uncles staying here until next week to visitors (our other relatives and their acquaintances). After the burial, we had a number of invites to go out - visiting malls to buy souvenirs, some tourist spots and lots of eat-out sessions. During the day, they fix all the papers related to our grandpa's death.
....so, you can guess how tired and quite harrassed we are (especially my parents). With so many things going on in our house, I have been wanting to stay a bit longer (if possible) at school. It's really weird how you wish to work (or maybe hang out, hehe) some more because you don't want to go home quickly (as opposed to the usual days when I'm so gleeful when the clock strikes 4 PM).
Well, anyway, only a few more days remain and things will be back to normal. I'll be able to move back to my own room and catch up on my Otakuzine assignments. I'm happy that they're considerate of my sudden hiatus.
Last week was exam week at SHAP. I conducted my own (ESL) exam from Monday to Wednesday then the exams for the regular subjects where given on Thursday to Saturday. Students are quite tired, lol. As for me, I finished checking all of my students' exams. I'm happy that some got as high as 99/100 or 94 and 90. But I'm sad (and frustrated) to those who got lower than 40. I know it's not entirely my fault because they choose not to study but still it saddens me that I've got students with scores much lower than the passing score.
January was rough. I hope February will be nicer.
dammitliv, are you not busy these days? I hope I can bother you with a February lj layout sometime. :)
