But you can't stay here

Just got back from Deb's house. All is mostly well. There hasn't been much change with the thieves' situation but I'll keep you guys posted on what she tells me.

I took Kitty over there. Sadly, during the week I was gone, Kitty had terrified Toby so badly that he was even freaking out when I touched him. As much as I like her, I realized that this really wasn't going to work. Deb's going to see if she can get Kitty to get along with the rest of the household, specifically her own cat Monster (who is sweeter than she sounds I promise). If she can't get Kitty to behave she's going to save me the heartache of having to take her to a shelter. For know she's going to be alternately languishing in the back bathroom or leashed to the nearest piece of furniture while Deb watches. Honestly, it wasn't until I was kneeling there scratching her head and saying goodbye, that I realized how much I was going to miss the little shit. *sigh* I want to stop saying goodbye to fuzz balls now. I drove home feeling a little sad and a little relieved that the 'kitty wars' won't be waking me up anymore.

Incidentally, did anyone notice the weather tonight? The road was perfectly clear right up until a few miles from my house, at which point I drove into a wall of fog. Seriously, I felt like I was in fucking Silent Hill. I kept expecting to see Pyramid Head every time I made a trip back and forth from my car. So if you get a message on your phone that sounds like me shrieking in fear, you can all just chalk it up to a nightmare . . . or go find a shot gun.

. . . I recommend finding the shot gun. : D
