where has the summer gone?
and what's new with me, you ask?
a lot has happened this summer... here's a short list of things that have made me happy in the past few weeks:
1. i got a part time job to make some extra cash during the school year. i'm working at a gelato and candy shop on mass ave called bon bon. it's awesome... first on-the-job duty was to try a sample of every gelato flavor in the case. needless to say this is my dream job. i make waffle cones from scratch, serve gelato and sorbet, and work with cool people, most of which are berklee students.
2. my brother moved to the city this week. he and joe got an apartment in brighton. it's a sick place and has 2 outdoor porches. i'm excited about mike living in the city, and he's pumped about being on his own for the first time.
3. alexis also moved to the city this week. she's going to suffolk. their dorms were over crowded so she gets to live in the holiday inn... way cooler (and bigger) than the dorms, with central ac and housekeeping. sick.
4. phill graduated and got a job... working at harmonix, a.k.a. the company that makes guitar hero, rock band, and karaoke revolution. they're located in cambridge. i'm so proud of him (and, ok, jealous!!!)... this past week was his first week there. as a new hire, he got a free copy of rock band, which we as a house have been playing nonstop since he brought it home the other night.
5. my birthday is on sunday! we are going to sunset in allston and then a bunch of bars in the area. i'm so excited! i have to remember to bring my passport as a form of id since my license will expire on sunday and i won't be making it to nh for at least another week, depending on my work schedule for this month.
6. phill's birthday is on monday... i am taking him out to dinner. i'm actually going out tonight to get his present... yay!
7. gill is coming tomorrow and will hang out till i have to work (from 6 to 11), then hang out with phill and the roomies till my shift is over. then everyone is going to meet up with me and we will go out for drinks.
8. classes start on the 9th. i'm really excited... my schedule looks pretty good this semester.
