A Moment's Weakness - POTC Fanfic

I have written my very first "Pirates of the Caribbean" story. It's a romance featuring James and Elizabeth with minor appearences by other characters. The poetry bit is my own and it's style was inspired by the movie "A Knight's Tale". So without any further ado, here it is. Comments are welcome.

That was a very enjoyable read and a refreshing turn of events! I love too how you handled the aftermath of the Interceptor and the cursed pirate attack on Dauntless. You also wrote James very well, especially the vulnerable/insecure aspect of him.

And sometimes it's fun to be a bit improper...
I can definitely see Elizabeth saying this!

Be a bold pirate and steal my kisses.
James' 'opportune moment' no doubt! I love how you phrased that! I've no doubt that underneath all that propriety is a tiger waiting to be set free and it will take someone as daring as Elizabeth to handle that tiger.

Just one question...did you know that the sailor who asked to pursue Sparrow at the end was Gillette, or did you intend it to be a different person?

Thanks for sharing and hope you write more!

I'm glad you enjoyed my first PotC story and that I wrote James well. As I said before, I never wrote a story set in the "Pirates" universe so I never handled the characters before. The little bit I know of the military (or Navy if you will) is from watching and reading Classic Star Trek with Captain Kirk. Kirk's first name is also James, by the way. Not that I was writing Kirk (as he is very different) but I figure their duties to some degree are the same ( ... )

I just watched CotBP last night and paid closer attention to the two men with Norrington. Now I can tell Gillette and Groves apart. :)

They're easy to get mixed up, though I must admit Groves bears a closer resemblance to Norrington.;)

Yes, Groves does look more like Norrington that Gillette. Gillette has a more round face.

I once watched this boring war movie where all the men wore the same clothes and all had shaved heads. I was like "why don't they have their names on their shirts so you know who is who..." lol

I just posted my parody.

And I'm going to start on my next E/N fic. I'm not sure how long it will end up being. It's going to be called "Under a Green Canopy".
