Sailor Boy

I have finished my next Norribeth story. The idea for this story came to me early this morning and I wrote it all in one sitting. The title came from a song I learned in school some time ago, about a boy who went off to war and never returned and left his girl waiting.

I'm also writing a second Norribeth - which I already started - which is called ( Read more... )

fanfic, potc, norribeth

brilliant!

though, I must confess its also scary considering I am writing something along the same lines!

Loved the Norrington line at the end! Perfect!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Scary, huh? Perhaps we think alike... but when you consider how many fans of PotC there are out there it's likely two people will come up with the same idea at the same time, right?

I'm looking forward to reading your story.

Yay! I never thought much of this ship before, but this is so sweet! Great job, then ending was really good (hehe silly Will)

I suppose I do tend to write sweet stuff. I'm adding elements of the Victorian romance. I also beleive James really loves Elizabeth, but has trouble expressing himself due to his military training and the strict rules of upperclass society. Many of today's things we think nothing of were taboo in those days.

And yes, Will was being silly and unrealistic. But when you make a vow you never know how long it will take to do the thing you vowed to do.

Ooooh, this was wonderful. I am totally a W/E shipper but I LOVED this!

*giggles* you made me actually like James a bit more! :)

I'm glad you loved it, keechakatt. I do read W/E stories, too, you know. I really don't have anything against Will. He is very heroic and I know he loves Elizabeth, but I do think she should be his first priority and not a father who apparently abandoned him. Of course, it's not right Davy Jones makes slaves of people, either. So I suppose Will is doing the right thing. He is selfless in that manner. I just hope he doesn't get himself killed in the process. Destiny generally is not a good thing.

I made you like James a bit more, huh? Good! :)

Glad you enjoyed it. :)
And it would be nice if it happened. I hope they don't make James into some sort of villian in the new movie. I hope he realizes Beckett is a criminal and wises up.
