Saw Orion last night. Happy to see him back. The sky is never quite the same without him.
In Cortland for the weekend to help out my parents, see Poppa, and to get apple cider. Cause Cortland is the only place in the world to get apple cider...
Anyways, Time for the super big update...
So for the biggest news of all...
Sarah's not going to Chicago. I think most of you know this already, but writing it makes it super-official. sure...
Still living at the boarding house. Hysterical as always. Found out that Frank "really sympathizes with people" cause he's done time. He needs to write down his life story. He's the most interesting person I've ever met, I swear.
Working at the Kavinoky Theatre and designing costumes for the rest of the season. That's exciting. I get to clean out their inventory too... umm fun?
I was in Cortland last weekend as well. I was the DD, but it was Marks' Family Drinkin' Night. I went out with my brothers and Patti came along for a bit. My brothers were both long gone. And for the record, Davey isn't a lightweight... he just drinks on a budget...
Anyways, I went to St. Bonaventure this week to do wardrobe for a tour of Hamlet which was, oddly enough, in contemporary dress. Like I haven't done this already? The company said specifically in the rider that they wanted a professional and not a student. So they hired me? I dunno. It made me laugh. But they fed me and housed me the whole time and it was entertaining. I got to stay in an old convent. The only time it seemed weird was when I realized I was watching Sex and the City in a convent... That was weird. The other part I thought was weird is that the technical director's name was Don and his voice sounded just like Don Knotts... no joke!
So on the way to St. Bonaventure, I went by an abnormally large amount of cemeteries. And I also went by a sign that was for a candle store. The slogan was "We smell... fabulous!" On the way back... I missed the exit for the road I was supposed to take by a half an hour. So I found a new route, cause I wasn't about to back track that far! Anyways, it ended up being an extremely lovely drive through the hills. I went by lots of Amish farms and had to pass about a dozen horse-and-buggies. It was so pretty. But I passed a couple of places I thought were weird. One was a store that sold Hallmark cards and Boy Scout Uniforms... and that was it. And the other was a Motel, Lounge, and Karate School. Patti told me I should have gone inside that one, but I think that my imagination can make up something much better than what it would actually be... Anyways, I returned to Buffalo safely.
Friday, I had a date with Renae. We made dinner and watched a movie. It was a lot of fun and it was nice to see Renae for a bit.
And now I'm in Cortland again. I'll be back in Buffalo on Monday. And good times will be had by all.
On another note... Sparkling Black Cherry Citrus Fresca is really quite delicious. I approve.
