Weekend update - Denver

Feb 13, 2005 09:59

So far it's been a pretty good weekend. Friday night I flew into Denver to visit my friend Brent for the weekend. We got to the hotel and then headed out to JR's (a gay bar on Capitol Hill) for a few drinks. We ended up eating at the Denver Diner for a very late dinner and came back to the hotel.

Saturday - Brent and I went apartment hunting because he's wanting to move back to Denver. We ended up seeing a few apartments here in Denver and one up in Boulder. I gotta say, Boulder is interesting...no wonder Coloradans refer to Boulder as the "Peoples Republic of Boulder." It's a cute little community. While we were in Boulder, I had an interview with another reporter for about 30 minutes. Next, it was off to look at a few more apartments again, and back to the hotel to meet up with our friend Alicia that drove up from the Pueblo area in Southern Colorado. We ended up having dinner at Black Eyed Pea, and off to the bars. Went to JR's and Charlie's...fun times. I was more impressed with the country bar (Charlie's) than JR's last night. Fun times.

Today I am on the phone right now to make sure I can get back to Seattle this evening. I am flying standby this evening and I looked at the flights earlier and they seemed pretty full. Aiyah! Thank God for additional sick time at work, just in case.

That's all for now on my personal life.
