Most people brush of that kinda thing BECAUSE of Dumb Yaoi Fans. "OMFG SORAXRIKULOLZKHOTTNEZZ!" So when an actual thing like that occurs, people knock it. Thats why people don't take it seriously, because Dumb (insert fandom here) Fans ruin it. This applies to just about everything. Not just Guys loving Guys.

I don't know what to think of Team Sasuke yet. Suigetsu automaticly gets my vote of coolness for having Zabuza's Sword...but I need more. Karin..I dunno.
