I "adopted" a cow today. Her name is Manuela.
She spent almost her whole life tied to a post in a tiny stable.
For more than 3 years she lived with a huge hole in her stomach, this was done for the purpose of researching and eventually being able to breed cows that would emit less methane. Mankind is awesome...
I'm going to put a video of A cow with a whole in her side under the cut.
It's highly disturbing.
I could only watch the video for about 30s, stopped it and started crying like a baby. :(
