anyways, i broke up with my long-distance girlfriend of a year and a half about two months ago. we made it work for that long and after i brought her to chicago for a trip i won, she walked on that plane and we haven't spoken since. not a word. there was a lot of problems, i'm not gonna lie. but looking back at it all, it was just a lot of grandstanding and personal bullshit on both of our parts. our emotions got the best of both of us, in more ways than one. i know it could have worked, but it wouldn't come without pain. i sent her a letter about a week ago, it wasn't an "apology" letter or a "im gonna get you back" letter. it was just 5 pages of me explaining everything about our situation, and wishing her well in whatever she does. i still feel a lot for her, i still feel like i have to protect her in some way; even tho i can't. and heres the kicker: she sent the letter back, UNOPENED with a note saying "i've come too far to go back". i must've looked at that note for about 10 minutes before realizing that it means nothing and one day we'll finally have "the talk". i wish she would have read it though, obviously. she even could have read it and not replied, i dont care. as long as she hears my side. but she didn't, so i'm gonna throw the ball out of the court and leave it up in the air. either of us are gonna give in anytime soon, it will be months before our silence is broken. oh and she's a taurus. love em if you got em.
