Snow again today, it's been 8 weeks of on-and-off freeze/melt/freeze, train system meltdowns. I've weirdly acclimatised, you know, where you think "oh it's -4, not too chilly really". Bizarre.
It appears that despite the snow, some kind of tree species has released pollen already, but thanks to the miracle that is antihistamines, I'm somewhat human again.
Packing of the flat continues. Gah, I'm really unmotivated. There's so much yet to pack, disassemble, throw away, etc before Tuesday.
I've had loads of emotional support from a group of friends which has been awesome, and much help with various packing and logistics activities here and there.
The new apartment is lovely, and two friends made a wonderful housewarming present: a framed poster of photos from my vacation in Rio last year (I'm missing Carnival this year because of the move).
My new lounge room is a good fraction of the entirety of my current apartment
And the terrace will be nice when the deck isn't covered in ice
There are two different stairs of death, these are the twistier ones with the easier grade
The view of the neighbourhood from the master bedroom. The river's about 30m from my front door, and the city's central square about 100m from there.
Flickr's performance is pretty bad, I've run out of time for the update today.
Work has been difficult: I'm delivering pretty good results, although my schedule is too tightly planned: losing a couple of hours during the day due to an escalation means that virtually all deliverable planning for the next few days needs to be renegotiated. I had a bit of a meltdown on Thursday, but luckily had some colleagues able to help turn the situation around.
