I must say I do wonder about the $7 toaster we bought from the supermarket. eek!

What's with the expresso? spellcrime!

I'm still wondering what the cleaner made of it all. House smelling acrid, toaster upside down on balcony, obviously houseguests etc etc. One can speculate and possibly write a fairly odd but entertaining short story.

Goodness! I am glad you are OK (shame about the toast). it seems to be a run at the moment as a friend's BBQ caught on fire and needed 2 fire engines to put out!

Heh. One small glass of water in this case.

The cleaner found the little yellow slightly melty toaster on the balcony, and thoughtfully right-sided it and placed it on a table. I love housecleaners!
