my empty prayers
So things of note today:
**** Lovely hair, despite the rain.
**** Lovely looooong lunch and Max Brenner hot chocolate with kipron in Newtown today. I finally got to have the fried rice I've been craving for a day now. And god, it was so good to see him and talk without having to worry about dashing back to court.
**** Came home and wrote til I hit 50K. Yes, I have now completed NaNoWriMo in exactly half the allotted time. Curious blend of disappointment and exhilaration. Bit of a whimper, really. And almost instant loss of motivation. But that may also be because the scene I'm in the middle of is one I'd written copious notes on ages ago so I'm really just reconstructing it instead of writing from scratch. And I want to get it done before I post the whole lot cos yeah, it all goes together in terms of emotional journey. Funny how that seems to be happening a lot with this novel, little phases of emotion. Well, that does fit in with the myffic structure so okay, I'm going with it.
**** Which makes me latently glad I have tomorrow off so I can polish the stuff I wrote today which kinda felt like I was making numbers rather than good fiction. No worries, that's what time is for.
***** Funny. Now that I've made the NaNo goal, the gaming urge is waking again. Dangerous, that. Luckily, I have both run out of download speed as well as wildcoins so I can't play games through either of my favourite sites. Aaactually hold on. It is technically the 16th now. Both speed and coins may have switched over to the new month already. No. Damn! A few more hours, maybe.
