So applied all the edits from the research trip yesterday and rehauled the most recent scene.
And have no niggling worries so it must be all fine. Okay, there is one moment I'd like better smoothed over but I really can't be bothered hammering at it right now. No doubt it'll come to me over the many re-reads. It's possible this new version is just a little too emotional but I'm too close right now to tell that. Another thing I can better ascertain with time and distance. Not too fussed. To paraphrase MJJ, "this is why we have re-reads."
And best of all, I got to use one of my top five favourite lyric quotes which only happens to be from a song that quite eerily echoes the whole novel. Hee! Hopefully this is indeed the perfect place for it. No matter if it isn't, easily moved.
Working tomorrow. Yayness. I can pick up my Vintage copy of Frankenstein which has finally arrived. Honestly, you'd think it was coming from Switzerland! Not like I'm lacking any reading material. Swear to god I have like a tower of books to read, both owned and borrowed. And nothing but Pratchett is holding my interest. But that's cos it's a transmit rather than receive thing at the moment. Which is of the good. Most definitely.
