Okay, it is just Ridiculously Awesome --- Awe! Some! --- to be able to listen to this song and actually see Jerry doing the cigar sequence in my head. He totally picked the perfect part of the number, too. Liek omg.
Just those progressions make me so damned happy. They're simple enough that I can follow them but they have majesty and they still change enough to keep me interested. And delighted! Just ... damn, just the emotional cues, the happy-making major notes and the swirls and curls of the minor notes. How you can see the whole arrangement flash and form in the air before you.
