Recommended for people with a family history of bowel cancer by the Colon Care Centre.

Guidelines rather than strict adherence unless you're really really fucked.


Upon rising, start with:

*** 1 glass of hot (warm) water with a squeeze of half a lemon
*** 1 glass of freshly squeezed vegetable juice

Ingredients: half a beetroot, 3 carrots, 2 leaves of silver beet (the long green spinach leaves) and ginger. Should take effect within 30 minutes.

BREAKFAST

*** Boiled or poached eggs seasoned with celery salt and pepper
*** Eggs cooked in a little cold pressed extra virgin olive oil (ensure you cook oil at low temperatures) with grilled tomato or tinned asparagus
*** Wheat free cereal (oats, rice puffs, puffed millet, amaranth) with pepitas (shell pumpkin seeds) and or LSA (linseed, granulated sunflower kernels and almond meal), cinnammon and rice milk
*** Sheeps' yoghurt, fruit seeds

LUNCH

*** Tuna or chicken rocket salad with LSA, seeds or nuts
*** Green salad with pepitas dressed with cold pressed flaxseed oil
*** Salad with either beef, chicken, boiled egg or sheep's or goats milk fetta cheese
*** Vegetable soup with tofu
*** Brown rice with vegetables, seeds (ie sesame seeds) and legumes (lentils, barley, cannelini beans, lima beans or chick peas)

DINNER eaten between 5pm and 7pm, mainly protein based

*** Steamed or stirfried vegetables with some form of protein
*** Steamed vegetables with tahini
*** Organic tofu vegetable stir fry served with brown rice
