Just finished the new Pratchett, Nation.
So. Incredibly. Good. In that brilliant way of starting so small, starting with one person on one beach and slowly spiralling outwards from personal to local to global until the story encompasses the universal and beyond. And oh man, the rage, that inexhaustible fury of rationale, the raging intellect. The Dawkins reference caused an absolutely involuntary bellow of laughter. And he totally made me cry again, chilling me in such immediate terrible ways about the Boxing Day tsunami. So much food for thought in this book that I know I'm going to have to come back again and again to properly understand it, to grasp at all the backstory untold.
A guy said to me yesterday that he's never re-read a book. I nearly fell off my chair.
Oh Pratchett. Nobody like you.
And I totally did not choose this song! Hee.
