Gulmohar has been excellent.
Admittedly,
mikey66e and I only attended two days out of the three. But what we've seen was a great blend of moods and genres. Yesterday's short Barefeet and the longer absolutely fascinating documentary, Our Family, about a transgender community. And today with the conversational documentary of Milind Soman Made Me Gay, the absolutely awesome with a heart campiness of Gulab Aaina, and finally My Brother Nikhil which was just as devastating the second time around for me.
I really hope the festival happens again next year, maybe with food as well. I might make that suggestion. We signed the petition against Section 377, no question about that. And in what was a totally awesome surprise, the person who introduced My Brother Nikhil only happened to be Sanjay Suri's brother, Raj. I was all with the inner squee but managed not to fangirl at the bro cos after all I could fangirl
directly at the man.
Ah Christ, I can't wait to see Anubhav. But til then, guess I'll just have to watch Bas Ek Pal over and over again. Oh guh, angsty Sanjay.
Mikey,
meet Milind Soman in his modelling days. Argh. *falls over*
Oops. Gotta go!
