turn out your trump card

Another horribly short day while the new boy strengthened his wings. He was so sweet. He actually called me yesterday after he finished to tell me how his first day went. And today when I was leaving, I noticed he was in a particularly horrible case that had the applicant company's name misspelt again so I messaged him on lunch just in case nobody had pointed this out. He ended up calling and totally wailing out his monitor woes. To which I offered full commiserations cos it is a particularly frustrating case and at least the last time I was in it, the respondent was represented! Poor new boy. That aggravated tone was very familiar. Hee.

As for me, I had another one of those odd realisations. That however psychologically fucked I think I am, there are people in the world who are way way way more screwed up. Today's example: paranoia. *sigh* Turns out I am actually quite sane compared to some people. And yet I so felt for him. Totally caught between a rock and a hard place.

But ooh, tomorrow I get to do Crime! And ha, turns out the Parramatta thing has fallen through. They've decided we're better utilised in the city. Yeah, right. I'll believe it when the new Justice Precinct is crammed and the courts there go into full swing and the move is totally completed.

I get to go home this weekend, yay!

Ooh I should eat before House. Interview applicants torture, double yay!

house, telly, work
