After judicious application of sleep, am up, a little delirious, and taping Corgan guest programming Rage. His playlist. He's already played Jayson and Peter Gabriel's coming up and there are Zwan videos too so I'm happy, if eyeing the Limp Bizkit/Aguilera with some concern

corgan is disconcertingly self-confident? hmmm. well, that's a refreshing change maybe from tortured genius?

oh yeah. see, i was discussing it with the scorpio goddess who agrees with me that he is a most beautiful man ... we were talking tonight on the mobile phone and i mentioned how i don't see him as an arrogant guy just very confident in his own talent and i can see how other people can take that in a negative sense. y'know what i mean?

i think he reserves the tortured genius for his lyrics, the selfconfidence/arrogance might be part of the corgan public persona.

admittedly, the accusation of arrogance has been levelled at most if not all of the musicians i adore. i'm fully aware that i may be attracted to arrogance outright. narcissistic even of me?

that might well be part of the persona. or he's divided, genuinely, like i am (and so many are).

i find arrogance rather erotic, actually. not mean and horrible arrogance, but the kind that communicates inner control. it's because i have so little of it -- like being yin helplessly drawn to yang.

it's true that self-confidence can be interpreted by the envious as arrogance. it can be just a matter of perspective, of maybe a kind of projection.

Remember how I told you Rage is a video show and the guests get to program the playlist? He chose Genie In The Bottle. Which was even more traumatic coming on the heels of a Limp Bizkit video ... maybe he's just trying to be funny. *shudder*

oh, ok. gosh, i could see him in a tight little outfit with lots of skin showing, big earrings, and a mane of hair. maybe fishnet stockings. ooh yeah. shaking his booty and doing a little dance. singing all slutty.
