So my OMF fic is now 60,000 words and some 120-odd pages, except fanfiction.net has decided to conspire against me... I've been trying to upload this last chapter for about 13 hours now. -_-'
Am taking a short, much-needed break from the fic, so I don't attempt to strangle the site for being arfed up. (That and I want to... well... draw some stuff for the fic... sigh, I'm so hopeless. I haven't drawn OMF for awhile though. Should be interesting.)
Aqua managed to have an adventure Monday night, cuz Aqua is dumb. Woke up from my nap, saw a note from Mom that she was going to the grandparental units' then going to do some planting with a neighbor. Okay, whatever. Until, large clap of thunder, checked weather.com, saw large red blob approaching. I didn't really think that was good planting weather, so I tried calling Grandma to see if Mom was there.
"No, she's not here, why?"
"Well, I wanted to tell her it's about to start storming," *pause, looks out window* "but as it's now pouring down rain..."
"Boy, is it ever! And you know what, the sun's shining bright as can be! Have you ever seen that before?"
"Yes, Grandma, I've lived in Ohio for awhile."
So, sigh, I have nothing better to do... I grab her raincoat, and her other raincoat (since I don't really... have one...), and go tearing down the street. In the pouring rain. With the sun shining bright as can be. So of course, there's this huge double rainbow, which I cannot possibly miss as I'm walking straight at it...
Reached neighbor's house. Endured obligatory "My daughter's coming to save me!" wisecracks. They asked if I'd noticed the rainbow. Yes, the rainbow is rather hard to miss when you're staring straight at it. Gave Mom her raincoat and we went home, and I figured I'd call the grandparentals to tell them to go look at the rainbow.
Got in just in time to pick up the phone.
"Hey, go out and look at the rainbow!"
"...Grandma, I just went outside, in the rain, and dragged Mom back home, I have had an up close and personal experience with the rainbow."
"Oh."
And while hauling that off my digital camera, I dragged a few other pictures off that I'd just been too danged lazy to transfer before now. Which is how I learned that appaerntly, Russell really, really dislikes my camera's flash.
Three pictures of him on the camera, and his eyes were like that in all three of them.
So now
madkatz21 and
purpledusk have determined that my cat is Satan. This is not news, except usually it's Taiga being declared Satan, not Russell... hmm. I wonder if perhaps he's been converted.
Now, I'm off to lead a HAR detachment to lay siege to fanfiction.net until they LET ME UPLOAD MY CHAPTER, DAMMIT!
