So we went to the showing of Richard III last night, and i have to admit, we didnt have great seats. But the show was amazing. I think Ceilidh got alot out of it. at interval we ran down to the stalls and checked out the stage and the lighting desk, we talked about moving down there to a couple of empty seats that we had spotted. Asked an usher and he said... im not allowed to say yes, but no one is checking tickets now.
So we ran back up for our bags, but chickened out when the bell went, scared we would be locked out of the second half. The second act was stronger than the first and ceilidh leaned over the railing to check it out while i have panic attacks etc. Great though.
At the end ceilidh asked if we could go down again and check out the stage as something had happened that she didnt see on the set. so we ran back down. While we were looking there were loads of people reseating themselves at the front of the stage... An official ooking woman asked if we were ok, and i said yeah fine thanks, then she looked at me and said, what school are you with??? an i said Mulwaree high (its ceilidhs school), and she says, i thought you looked familiar, take a seat down here it will start soon.
And then they start talking about workshops the kids have been in with Kevin Spacey this week etc, and then he walks uot and does a Q&A with the kids and their teachers.
it went for about an hour and was totally inspirational. I was extremely impressed. they invited the kids up on stage for a photo, ceilidh didnt go cos it ws for the workshop kids, while that was happening ceilidh went down while he was signing autographs, and she got his last one before he had to stop.
So exciting. he was so lovely. i was totally impressed.
what a great night. we didnt get him here till 3.30am so hopefully ceilidh will go ok tonight.
*worries*
fantastic stuff.
